Sterling Housekeeping Co.

The Sterling Standard

How we work, in detail.

The standards below are not marketing. They are the operating practice of the company.

Vetting

Vetting

  • Every team member completes a full background check, including criminal, motor vehicle, and prior-employer verification.
  • Two professional references in housekeeping are required and contacted.
  • Paid in-house training is mandatory before any client engagement. No team member enters a home unaccompanied during their first ninety days.
Insurance

Insurance

  • $3M general liability coverage.
  • Workers' compensation for the full team.
  • Bonded. Certificates available on request, naming the homeowner as additional insured where appropriate.
Discretion

Discretion

  • An NDA is available on request and signed without discussion.
  • We do not photograph client homes, name our clients, or post our work to social channels.
  • The same team is assigned to each home. There is no rotation, no sub-contracting, and no third-party scheduling.
Approved Materials

Approved Materials

  • pH-neutral cleansers on marble, limestone, and other calcareous stone. No acidic or citrus-based products.
  • No ammonia on antique brass or unlacquered metals. Microfiber and jeweler's cloth, by surface.
  • Conservation-grade dusting on art frames. Soft sable brushes on gilt. No solvent on canvas, ever.
  • Wood-safe oil and wax on antique furniture, applied sparingly and on the household's preferred rotation.
  • Distilled water and lint-free cloth for crystal and barware.
